Those who love ecotourism will think of Kenya as an excellent place to visit, due to the country’s magnificent flora and fauna. Along almost 500km of coasts, Kenya shows huge forests of palms, mangroves, teaks, resins and sandal trees. In the same way there are forests of euphorbia, acacias, and baobabs covering the Lowlands and going inland so far as to the altitude of 900 meters. The African baobab is one of the world’s highest trees and it is nowadays grown in many tropical regions all over the world. The trunk of this huge tree can be 9 meters wide. Its fruit is slightly acid and has a nice tasting pulp which is used to prepare certain kind of soft drinks. (more…)

Nairobi is the largest city in Kenya, its name come from the Massai phrase Enkare Nyirobi, which means the place of cool waters. This city has been important for the nation since the colonial time.
This city is nowadays the capital of Kenya, from the past there has been a lot of trading and an leading industrial field for the entire country. But there is more than people and their business in Nairobi, just a few kilometres away from the city yields the Narobi National Park, with lots of scenic views and the vibe of nature.

A horseback safari
A safari is the most common way to visit Kenya’s rich fauna and to see its beautiful landscapes and natural reserves. If you are close to the coast, the Natural Reserve of Shimba Hills is the best place to observe major predators such as leopards, as well as the country’s unique antelope population. Near the coast we can also find the elephant refuge of Mwalu-Ganje. (more…)
